Mashhor DOF Subsea present certificates to trained achievers.

Mohamad Faisal Bin Yunus is proudly the first Bruneian to be awarded an international recognised certificate - Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel (CSWIP) 3.4u Underwater Inspection Controllers Certificate.

In a ceremony held recently at Mashhor DOF Subsea office at Jalan Setia Pahlawan Kuala Belait, the company celebrated the achievements of their personnel in its Bruneianisation Programme, 500,000 work man hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) and the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

Malai Haji Hamir Mashhor, Business Development Director of Mashhor Group of Companies and Graeme Harris, Managing Director of Mashhor DOF Subsea presented the certificate to Mohamad Faisal.

Mohamad Faisal joined Mashhor DOF Subsea Sdn Bhd in 2007. Mashhor DOF Subsea is a local joint venture company providing underwater inspection, repair and maintenance services to Brunei Shell Petroleum.
Starting as a Trainee Inspection Engineer, Mohamad Faisal was in the company's three years Bruneianisation Development Programme.

Prior to his exam, Mohamad Faisal has completed around 200 days in offshore, helping to fulfill the necessary experience required to be a good inspection engineer.

Following Mohamad Faisal, Mashhor DOF Subsea will be sending another trainee Inspection Engineer to undergo the same CSWIP 3.4u examination later this year.

To date Mashhor DOF Subsea has trained eight local Bruneians in the category of Air Divers, ROV Pilot, Project Engineer and Inspection Engineer.

Apart from Mohamad Faisal receiving his certificate for Underwater Inspection Controller Grade 3.4U, also receiving their certificates for ROV Pilot was Tee Teck Leong, Certificate of Occupational Diving-Advanced Underwater work to 50 metres ADAS 1,2 and 3 for Rudi Hairuni bin Muhd Jeli, while Md Rohizam Hj Ibrahim, Addie Iskandar bin Reni and Wan Md Syazwan bin Md Hijazi for the Certificate of Occupation Diving-Advanced Underwater work to 50 metres.

Meanwhile, Md Shahrizan bin Idris received a certificate for Inspection Engineer Trainee and Wan Md Azif bin Hj Arip for Graduate Project Engineer Trainee.

Present as guest of honour at the ceremony was Belait District Officer, Awang Haji Jamain bin Momin who on hand received a mock cheque from Malai Haji Hamir Mashhor for the Orphanage Fund.
