August 18, 2009

Mashhor DOF Subsea recently organised a double celebration on its achievements of working 500,000 man-hours without Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and on being awarded the ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System certification.

"It was a proud safety achievement as diving is considered a risky business. The Board of Directors of Mashhor DOF Subsea congratulates those who have contributed in making sure 'Safety Takes Priority' in their work culture", said Hj Abdul Haji, Mashhor DOF Subsea's QM Manager.

Another milestone achievement by Mashhor DOF Subsea was being awarded an internationally recognised ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System certification by Bureau Veritas Certification.

Malai Haji Hamir Mashhor, Business Development Director of Mashhor Group of Companies was proud to say that this was a significant achievement, as having an internationally recognised quality management system shows their commitment to delivering quality services or products to its clients.

On hand to appreciate and present the ISO9000 certificate was Malai Haji Hamir Mashhor and Graeme Harris, Managing Director of Mashhor DOF Subsea to Hj Abdul Haji, Mashhor DOF Subsea Quality Manager.
In an interview with Hj Abdul Haji, the ISO9000 project leader, he said that work began in August 2008. A project committee was formed comprising department managers and coordinators. The project took 12 months to complete due to the wide scope that covers both onshore and offshore operations utilising in-house expertise.

Malai Haji Hamir Mashhor hopes with this quality system in place, Mashhor DOF Subsea will use it as a tool to identify potential problems and carry out early corrective action thereby eliminating non-conformances before any problem occurs.
